City centre to city centre, the train is faster than flying. Cost wise, if you know you want to travel at least 4 months ahead, you can pretty much guarantee the cheapest "normal" price (GBP69 return, GBP39 one-way) if you book the first day seats become available. Only once in about 10 trips to Paris was flying the best option for me, and that was Easyjet from Luton.

    What do you think?
