About your stay
Atlantis The Palm is a 5-star resort in Dubai that is located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah islands off the coast of the city. The resort has just been voted one of the Top 10 Best Hotels for Families in the UAE at this years Travellers Choice Awards due to its onsite attractions like The Lost Chambers Aquarium and the Aquaventure Waterpark which has a 'Leap of Faith' waterslide that tunnels through a transparent shark tank and is one of the top things to do in Dubai according to TripAdvisor.
The hotel also boasts celebrity restaurants like Robert de Niro's Nobu and Gordon Ramsey's Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. There is an onsite spa and salon, as well as a gym and guests have access to both the waterpark and aquarium. There is also private beach access for those looking for a lazy, relaxing holiday.
The highlight of Deluxe Rooms is the balcony with partial sea views of either the Arabian Sea or The Palm. All rooms are air-conditioned, have cable TV and 24-hour room service. There is also a plush bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath.
Note on travel dates:
Next year Ramadan, which is the holy month of fasting, takes place between May 13 and June 14, 2018. What does that mean for travelling Westerners? Westerners are not expected to obey by the fasting rules, however it is polite to adhere to local customs whenever possible, for example by dressing conservatively when visiting public places and not eating in public during daylight. Usually hotels and resorts however operate as usual, and malls in Dubai have extended their opening hours to about 1am, with restaurants staying open until 2am.
