About your stay
Hvar is a Croatian island, located about an hour by ferry from the main town of Split. It has a picturesque port town, filled with cobbled streets, and hugely popular bars and restaurants. The waters around the island are crystal clear, although beaches are pebbled.
Pharos Hvar Bayhill Hotel is a relatively new property, located about a 15 minute walk (uphill) from the port. It's easily enough done but taxis are available if you prefer. There is an outdoor pool and bar, surrounding by aromatic lavender (a key feature of the region). Buffet breakfast is included at the on-site restaurant and Wi-Fi is free. Rooms are funky and modern, and some have balconies and sea views.
As Hvar is an island, you'll need to catch a ferry. From Split, you can get a bus or taxi from the airport to the ferry port and then get a ferry to the island. Prices are quite reasonable; they shouldn't cost more than £5-8 per person each way. From Hvar port you can either walk to your hotel or get a taxi.
