About your trip
When flying into Knock, there are heaps of places to choose from along the Wild Atlantic Way. Head north to Sligo and Donegal and visit the spectacular Slieve League cliffs, or take it easy on the famous surf beaches of Bundoran or Silver Strand. Seaweed baths are a particular must-do when visiting this part of the route.
Alternatively, dive deep into Connemara and check The Twelve Pins mountain range off your bucket list. Kylemore Abbey is a favourite of visiting tourists, while many prefer to head to Cong where you will find plush Ashford Castle, the wedding venue of choice for celebrities like Rory McIlroy, Pierce Brosnan and most recently Courtney Cox.
If you'd prefer the 'ceol agus craic', head for Galway City. You'll find live music played in many of the pubs along Shop Street, a host of restaurants serving fresh seafood, while the beach in Salthill is a great place for a dip.
There are plenty of B&B's along the Wild Atlantic Way and many will have last-minute vacancies outside the peak season months to book as you go. However, if you want to book in advance, use our hotels finder to nab a bargain stay. For example, Delphi Mountain Resort from just £35 per person, per night based on 2 sharing.
