About your stay
First stop on this Thai adventure is the bustling city of Bangkok. You'll be staying in the centrally located 3* Siri Poshtel - 4.5 on Tripadvisor. Breakfast and WiFi is included in this single sex dormitory (or have your own room for just a few £££ extra).
The great location is ideal for when you wish to explore or go on day trips. Bangkok has oodles on offer from stunning temples to banging nightlife and floating markets to designer boutiques - so you wont be at a loss of things to do.
Next up it's Phuket!
Located in the hills over looking Patong, lies the 3* Jiraporn Hill Resort - 4/5 on Tripadvisor. Set outside the main hubbub of town the hotel has a tranquil setting. However, it is within easy reach of the beach as the hotel puts on a free shuttle bus every hour, or you can always make the walk yourself. Its only 15-20 minutes. If you'd prefer to have a lazy day, there is an outdoor pool to chillax next to with an amazing view over Patong. Breakfast is also included each morning during your 4 night stay here.
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and is famous for its endless golden beaches and mountainous jungles. Patong is known for its party scene, however, if that's 'not you', just down the coast is Karon beach - a quieter stretch of sand with a wonderful selection of street food vendors and market stalls.
On the other side of Phuket is the ferry, waiting to whisk you off to the Phi Phi islands. Known for their stunning limestone rock formations and unbeatable beaches, this is a 'must see' location whilst in Thailand.
Your home during your 3 night stay here will be the 3* Phi Phi Banyan Villa Hotel - with a Tripadvisor score of 3.5.
From the Phi Phi islands its a ferry ride to the other side of the bay - to Krabi. A stunning beach town, here you'll spend 4 nights in the 3* Green View Village Resort - 4/5 on Tripadvisor - on a B&B basis.
While away the hours by the on site pool, or exploring this small town. There is a shuttle bus to the beach, provided by the hotel so you're well connected to the centre of the action.
Travelling by one's self can be a daunting prospect at first, however, it can also be a liberating experience. If you have never done it before, Thailand is one of the safest places in south east Asia in order to start your solo adventure. Our top tip is to use common sense in all aspects of your trip when it comes to money, expensive items and walking alone at night. There are a great many solo travellers making their way through Thailand so there will be plenty of chances to meet new people.
Not ready to come home?
Well we don't blame you. Why not turn this trip into the backpacking trip you've always dreamt of and visit multiple countries. Bangkok is fantastic as it is so well connected to the rest of the continent.
Check out Giant Ibis, a coach company that offers well air conditioned transfers to Cambodia and beyond. Free WiFi, snacks and water are provided on board as well as ample leg room so you can sit back and relax, watching the world go by out of the window.
