Pirates, we are still looking for things to keep us occupied in lock-down and we have come across two excellence free online courses that can improve your photographic skills, in preparation for when we can travel again and snap awesome pictures of our travels.
One of the courses is organised directly by Nikon, the other by the legendary MOMA museum in New York.
It could be a great way to occupy this time in which we are at home, with the idea of taking advantage of our new skills acquired for when we are going back to travel.
If you are looking for a way to get the most out of your camera or you are among those who wonder how all those wonderful images that you see on Instagram are made, these two professional photography courses are right for you!
Here are the details of the two courses:
1) MOMA PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE
The MOMA, Museum of Modern Art in New York, one of the most famous and important museums in the world, offers its free photography course through the MOOC mode (Massive Online Open Courses).
The course is held by Sarah Meister, curator of the Photography section of MOMA.
Here is the course program , which normally completes in six weeks :

You can register for free at the Coursera website, one of the main suppliers of MOOC courses. The course, which already has over 300,000 students, lasts about 15 hours and issues a completion certificate at the end, which can also be shared on platforms such as Linkedin.
2) NIKON PROFESSIONAL COURSE
The famous Japanese brand wanted to help make the isolation period more bearable by making a course you would usually pay for free, to learn the basics not only of professional photography but also of the world of music videos.
