After months of shutdown in peak season due to COVID-19, Belize is finally planning to open its door to international travelers. The government plans to open Philip Goldson International Airport on October 1st.
Certain hotels and tour operators will also be allowed to resume their activities, and health protocols will be in place to ensure the safety of travelers and staff.
Belize is an ideal destination as we head into the colder months, offering warm Caribbean waters and white sand beaches for lounging in the sun. It’s great for an adventure holiday — you can take guided tours through sacred caves, go diving in the famous Great Blue Hole, snorkel along the barrier reef, and hike through ancient ruins (just to name a few).
