The Edinburgh Arts Festival, 30 Jul - 30 Aug

The park transforms into a tented village, and is jammed packed with close to 800 different events. There is a non-stop program of enthralling entertainment including workshops and illustrator and author events such as a presentation of the latest books, book signings, and very interesting debates. Visitors are able to talk to the authors they admire, and there are exciting programs for teenagers and children, as well as adults. There are several independent representations of book stores with books for all ages, some of which are exclusive, so there is something for everyone. Entrance to the park is free.
