A deal from , 25. Jan. 2021 1:03 pm

Emirates is set to become one of the first airlines to test the IATA Travel Pass. The IATA Travel Pass is in partnership with the International Air Transport Association and is a mobile app to help with COVID-19 information and restrictions when travelling!

The app will help travellers manage their travel in line with any government requirements for COVID-19 testing or vaccine information.

The IATA Travel Pass will act as a kind of 'digital passport' and include the relevant information on your covid tests and vaccinations, to make sure you are in line with the requirements needed to enter the country in which you are travelling to!

The Travel Pass will also be able to share the test and vaccination certificates with authorities and airlines to allow you to travel.

The trial is expected to begin in April and will see Emirates start phase 1 in Dubai for the validation of COVID-19 PCR tests before departure, meaning passengers will be able to share their COVID-19 test status with the airline through the app before even reaching the airport.

Another plus for the IATA Travel Pass app is that you can find accurate information on travel and entry requirements for all destinations, it will tell you where you can be tested in each country so you can make sure you are sticking to the guidelines and able to travel safely!
