Sadly Pirates, we can't go on a fun filled cruise right now, but one ex-cruise ship worker is offering a unique 'cruise' experience in Dorset - ghost ship tours!

That's right, Mudeford resident Paul Derham, who has 27 years experience working on cruise ships, has started a new business called 'Ghost Ship tours'.

And it has proven unexpectedly popular!

Book onto one of these tours and you'll be taken on a two and half hour boat ride out into the English Channel, where some of the world's most famous cruise ships are currently docked.

Normally carrying thousands of people to exotic destinations, ships such as the Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas, are now docked in the waters off the coast of Dorset due to the Covid-19 pandemic. These giant ships make for an eerie sight, especially when you get up close to them!

They're not completely abandoned however - up to 100 staff remain on board to ensure the safety and upkeep of the vessel.

If you're a cruise fan, or simply curious to see the boats for yourself, you can book onto a Mudeford Ferry Ghost Ship Tour via Paul Derham's Facebook group by clicking here.

The tour costs £20 and will take you as close as 50 metres from the vessels.

Hopefully soon we'll be able to go on a real cruise again, but in the mean time, we reckon this is unique way to see these spectacular ships!
