Just look at all that lavender...!

1) Mayfield Lavender Farm, Surrey, UK

This beautiful lavender farm is just a half hour train from central London. Located near the Surrey Downs, expect to see a huge 25 acres of lavender. Entry is on a first come, first serve basis, so try and visit on a week day when it's slightly less busy.

Once you've taken your all-important instagram pictures, you can buy some of your own lavender to take home from the farm's nursery, or why not try some lavender fudge, shortbread or tea at their on-site shop. Oh and did we mention, it's dog-friendly too!

There are several different farms you can visit, all growing a range of different, multi-colour plants. One of the most popular is Flower Land Kamifurano where you can ride right through the fields on a tractor pulled cart!
