Pirates, the idyllic Maldives might be one of our favourite locations, but a stint in those iconic resorts rarely come cheap. That's why we're pretty sure this new position is quite the novel opportunity...
Phillip Blackwell, owner of the Ultimate Library Company, is currently recruiting a bookseller to work in one of the Maldives' most decadent resorts. The successful candidate will run an exclusive pop-up bookshop at the luxurious Soneva Fushi eco-resort, where guests can splash out on villas at up to £20,000 per night.
In addition to selling literary works, the lucky bookseller will be asked to write "an entertaining and lively blog" about their experiences in the Maldives, as well as hosting creative writing courses within the 5* resort.
Discussing his ideal candidate, Blackwell told The Guardian: "We want someone on the ground who is creative and inspiring and can maybe get more people to share the pleasure of reading, which is what people enjoy doing on holiday".
Unless you're booked up for the foreseeable future, we highly recommend considering this new chapter.
