Scare Fest: Alton Towers, Staffordshire (Oct 8-9th, 15-16th, 21-31st)
Every Autumn, Staffordshire's leading tourist attraction has a Halloween spectacular before closing for the Winter season. The world famous rides are kept running longer into the night and, after dark live action Horror Scare zones and mazes become the main attractions. Highly recommended for a visit.... If you dare!
Sedlec Ossuary: Kutna Hora, Czech Republic
One of twelve world heritage sites situated in Czechia. The Ossuary is a Roman Catholic chapel located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints in Sedlec. A giant chandelier of bones, featuring at least one of every bone type in the body, is the eye catching centerpiece flanked by spooky skulls. Sedlec Ossuary is one of the countries leading tourist attractions, with over 200,000 visitors each year.
Hoia-Baciu Forest: Cluj-Napoca, Romania
No spooky list would be complete without a trip to Romania. But, rather than the already well-known Bran Castle we have added the lesser known Hoia-Baciu Forest to our list. The forest is named after a shepherd who is said to have disappeared there with his entire flock of sheep. It is located in North West Romania has become renown for various paranormal sightings and is rumoured to be Romania's own Bermuda Triangle and the most haunted forest in the world!
Chateau De Brissac: Maine-et-Loire, France
Even though it looks like a fairytale in daylight this Chateau is said to be haunted by the petrifying Green Lady. After a double murder in the 15th Century "Charlotte" has been seen walking the tower room of the Chapel scaring residents and guests for hundreds of years.
