1. Majorca Container Home - from £128 per night (sleeps 3)
Yes, you are reading it right, it is a complete apartment made of container modules. This ultra-modern rooftop apartment is located in Majorca's capital, Palma, and it really is a work of art. Of course something so stylish and modern comes equipped with all the mod cons, flat screen TV, a spiral staircase and a bathroom finished in steel. The kitchen also opens out straight on to a patio, where you can find a barbecue and pool. Obviously there's also WiFi so you can Instagram the s*** out of it!
2. Tuscan Tree House - from £230 per night (sleeps 2)
This tree house/cabin on stilts sits on a farm in the heart of Tuscany. The hosts invite people to "come and live with us" enjoying everything their land has to offer, such as olive trees and the Italian family lifestyle. Being just a stones throw from many vineyards and cities like Florence and Siena, you will be able to find plenty to keep yourself occupied.
3. Santorini Sea View Studio - from £69 per night (sleeps 2)
OK, so how do you make a trip to Santorini even better? A cliff top studio, with amazing views; that's how! As if that isn't enough, the bathroom is a work of art, with colourful tiles and ceiling painted turquoise.
4. Houseboat Happiness in Paris - from £138 per night (sleeps 2)
This Parisian accommodation is hard to beat, especially when it is a stones throw from the Eiffel Tower! It may be small, but it is perfectly formed, spread over two levels it features a bedroom, a bathroom (with a bath overlooking the river) and a terrace. Unfortunately, there are no cooking facilities, but you're in France so why would you want to cook? Head out to one of the numerous bars and restaurants nearby and try some of the local cuisines.
5. Cumbrian Castle - from £160 per night (sleeps 2)
Time to be King! Turrets, Tudor style panelling, gothic windows, it's all here to give that authentic castle stay. This Victorian castle was lovingly restored during the 90s, and is now a B&B with 15 luxurious rooms. Depending on the size of your wallet, there is also the opportunity to rent out the entire building.
6. Let Iceland give you wood - from £137 per night (sleeps 4)
Akureyri is Iceland's largest town in the north, and is a great place to get in touch with nature. In this spectacular wooden house, you will be able to kick back and watch the Northern Lights in the winter or enjoy the midnight sun during the summer. The interior is minimalist yet packed full of character, with a sleek living space and red 50s style kitchen. But lets face it, you will want to spend your time looking out the window!
