Already sick of the dark winter nights? Then throw on your warmest clothes, head outside and let some festive twinklers put the stars back in your eyes!

Festival of Light and Sound - Eden Project Cornwall

Prepare for an explosion of light, music and colour at the Eden Project this Christmas. During the winter months, Eden's landscape is set ablaze with after-dark performances, including light projections, live music and dramatic soundscapes. The Rainforest Biome will also flicker with festivity, which can be enjoyed from a 50-meter-high-lookout above the trees! Enjoy the enchantment on selected dates until January 1st.

Magical Lantern Festival - Leeds, Birmingham, London

Brighten up an evening with the Magical Lantern Festival, a celebration lighting up the cities of Leeds, Birmingham and London. Here you can explore a wonderland of artistic sculptures, life-sized lanterns, festive food and a lineup of cultural entertainment. Visit the festival until January 1st.

Music and lights - Fountains Abbey, North Yorkshire

For something a little different, take a wander through the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden. During December the abbey is illuminated with rainbow colours, while live festive music plays in the background from the Cellarium and Fountains Hall. Perfect for all the family, there will be wildlife walks, craft workshops, Santa's grotto and local carol concerts to kick-start your Christmas. Immerse yourself in the festivities until 23rd December.
