Pirates, this gig is so sweet we were tempted to Nut-tella you, but we just can't resist sharing fun excuses to travel the world with our hearties!
Ferrero, also known as the company behind Nutella, are reportedly adding to their delicious repertoire, and they need your help to get it right. They want you to taste test these new products in their Italian HQ and pay you for doing so.
No, we are not kidding. This is not a drill.
The specification for the role is as follows:
"People who would like to learn how to taste cocoa, hazelnut powder and other semi-finished sweet products".
No prior experience, no dodgy internships, no years of climbing the corporate ladder; just a love for the sweet stuff and the willingness to get it right.
If you're one of the lucky chosen ones, you'll be one of sixty "sensory judges" who will be jetted to the company's HQ in Alba, northern Italy, for a three month paid training course starting this September. During that time, you'll develop your sense of smell and taste, and work on your vocabulary to express what you “perceive with the tasting of semi-finished products.”
If you're hired at the end of the training period, you'll sign a long term contract for part time work, giving you plenty of free time to sample la dolce vita in the romantic region of Piedmont.
Getting paid to taste chocolate and live in rural Italy? Now that's one way we'd like to start 2019.
