It is officially the smallest inhabited island in the world. 'Just Room Enough' Island, also known as Hub Island, is located in the Thousand Islands archipelago off the coast of New York State and measures ONLY 306 m2.

The island was purchased in 1950 by the Sizeland family who were looking for a place to go out together. They built a house on this tiny island that pretty much takes up the whole space of the island.
Before, there were literally only benches and a tree on this teeny island. Now it welcomes curious tourists looking for something out of the ordinary. The family gave it the charming name of 'Just Room Enough' Island.

Right next to the island is Boldt Castle - an iconic fairy-tale mansion that hotel millionaire, George Boldt, started building in 1900.
