Newquay is often a go-to for a summer staycay and for good reason: sandy beaches, surfable waters, and plenty of British charm (fish and chips by the pier, anyone?). But it can be just as appealing in spring, and if you can stay there for less than £50 a night - even better!

Legacy Hotel Victoria is a grand clifftop hotel above the golden sands of Great Western Beach. While it might have only 3 stars (the decor is a little dated), the views, location, and price more than make up for it - but don't expect the Ritz.

Prices are crazy cheap mid-week on Trivago, with Agoda being the best deal at £35 for a room. Breakfast rates start at £45, and there are rates throughout March to May for the price - check some examples out below.
