When it comes to luxury, Lapland can offer some of the most incredible, unforgettable experiences - with everything from snowmobiling to ice hotels.

However, a super luxurious spa in the middle of the Arctic Circle? This I have to see.

It's pretty rare that the opening of a new spa gets us worked up, but when you see where this spa is, you may understand.

Set within 300 hectares of snow-dusted private pine forest, this spa is part of the hyper luxurious Octola Private Wilderness, a 5-star lodge in Lapland.

The spa, which Founder and CEO, Janne Honkanen has called the "first private spa in the Arctic", has three pools and an outdoor hot tub.

There are also sauna options too, with a log-lined indoor sauna or a sauna created from actual ice blocks.

If you don't believe us about the ice sauna, check out the pic below!

The lodge itself is stunning, with 10 luxurious bedrooms and a separate villa away from the main lodge.

Can you even imagine waking up to this view?

Another bonus of a stay at this luxury lodge is the food, which is sourced locally, and could well include everything from bear to reindeer.

Of course, with the whole of Lapland as your playground, you can expect to have a lot of fun zipping around in snowmobiles, ice driving, skiing and doing whatever you feel like in this icy landscape.

One of the best things about the location is also the likelihood of seeing the Northern Lights.

As Octola states, their philosophy is "to be secluded, far from the crowds, and to be at one with nature". I think it's fair to say this lodge, with the addition of a lush new spa achieves that.

You can reach Octola from Rovaniemi International Airport, Finland by car in 20 minutes. If you happen to fly exclusively by chopper, no worries, there's also a private helipad available
