Sad you never got to fly on Concorde? Well, fear not because a new commercial supersonic plane is on its way thanks to manufacture Boom.
There's been a big recent development, with the company's prototype aircraft XB-1 recently breaking the sound barrier in testing -- more than 770 miles per hour -- overcoming a major obstacle towards commercial supersonic travel.
And some big airlines are backing the company with American Airlines having just put in an order for 20 of the Boom Overtures, taking the amount of orders to around 130 when the plane rolls out later this decade.
The Overture will fly up to Mach 1.7 over water - about 1,300mph - which is double the speed of a regular commercial plane.
At those speeds, you'll be able to get from London to New York in around 3.5 hours and to Miami in around 5 hours.
Prices are expected to be similar to what you'd pay for an equivalent business class ticket (around $5,000).
