Mother's Day: Our Mums aren't boring, so why should their gifts be?
Mateys, Mother's Day is right around the corner, and we are bored with buying the same old presents.
So this year, we have hunted around and found some cool alternatives to the usual chocolates and flowers. We have also got dog Mums covered.🐶🎁
Mini-breaks
Who doesn't love a holiday, so why not book a sneaky mini-break for you and your Mum. Pick somewhere you have always wanted to go, or find the cheapest flights and head off to somewhere that wasn't even on your list.🌍
Spa days/breaks
It's not out of the ordinary to buy a spa day for you and your Mum, there are many options right here in the UK.💆
We have also been looking into extreme day trips and doing spa days in another country, then pop right on back home as if nothing happened, but feeling much more relaxed. If you can get cheap flights, this can be even cheaper than a spa day in the UK.
Our favourite extreme spa day destinations include Bucharest, Prague, Budapest and Iceland.
Bottomless brunches
Who doesn't love a bottomless brunch, but, it's not just for our besties. Mums deserve to let loose too. There are some great Mother's Day themed brunches, or you can pick the many other cool brunches available.🍾 Some of our faves included Taylor Swift brunch, Britney brunch, garage brunch, drag brunch, 90s brunch. Mystery holidays
We were always on the fence about mystery holidays, but a few of us pirates have actually taken them and all have good things to say. Wowcher offers mystery holidays that are really popular, where you will receive a phone call before you go, and asked to pick between a few places. Or if you book with Jounree, you won't know where you are going until you reach the airport. Don't worry, they tell you what to pack beforehand.
Another company we love the sound of are Mystery Getaways, you will be given flights, a hotel and tickets to a mystery football match in Europe. Fuuun!
Winery tours and more
Ah wine, the love of our lives, surprisingly there are lots of great wineries you can visit right here in the UK (Or, take a trip abroad like mentioned above😉).
If wine is not your Mums drink of choice, there are many breweries you can visit, or gin tours among many others.🍷
Free drinks for Mums
Dog Mums, we're not leaving you out, head to a Brewdog bar on Sunday and enjoy a burger, pizza or Sunday Roast and you will get a FREE pint or glass of Prosecco.

Theatre and other events
There are loads of shows available to take your Mum to, and not just in London. Tina - The Tina Turner musical is in full swing in the West End, and it was just announced this week that it will be touring the UK.🎭
If your Mum is an Abba fan, we highly recommend Abba Voyage. There's also Mamma Mia the part at The O2 Arena.
Apart from musicals, you could also buy tickets for Mum for a comedy show, live-music gig, escape room or an immersive experience. (Fever)

This can be a great way to treat your Mum with something that would usually cost way more.
