Pirates, did you know the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela is the end spot for 9 famous walking routes, where Pilgrims walked to visit the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great. These walks sound great, but from the UK, not ideal! Good job we found flights from £18* return.

We’ll forgive you if you haven’t heard much about Santiago de Compostela, the capital of northwest Spain’s Galicia region, but trust us, there are plenty of reasons to visit! The city is steeped in history, has incredible architecture and loads of local bars and restaurants where you can try out authentic Galician food. You can also hop on a train to the white sand beaches of Vigo in less than an hour for under a fiver!

You'll get the cheapest price if you go last minute. We found loads of different options so you can go for 1 night or a week! If you would prefer to go in June there are flights from £23* return.

If you needed another reason to hop on a cheap flight, Santiago de Compostela is relatively cheap for food and drink since it’s not a massive tourist destination. The average pint of beer is around €2.50, whereas you could expect to pay €4-5 in spots like Barcelona.

Additional Information

*We might be Pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. Here’s the catch: with deals this hot, things change quickly: flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. Mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. But, if you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry: we’re working on more great offers.
