Flying long-haul with Wizz Air won't be everybody's cup of tea, we get that, but it can save you some serious cash if you're clever with it.
We have seen some routes with this budget airline to destinations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai or the Maldives for great prices. The only catch is that these destinations aren’t direct from London so they often include long stopovers.
However, this doesn’t need to be a negative, you can turn this into a multi-stop trip by knowing the right airports to travel to. Think: Greece city break on the way to Abu Dhabi... nice 😍
Our example below includes flights from the UK to Athens from £17* and Athens to Abu Dhabi a couple of days later from £46*, so you can fly all the way to Abu Dhabi from £63* one-way.

How do I make it work?
First you'll need flights from the UK to one of the airports we mention below. As an example we found flights from London to Athens from £17*.
You can be as flexible as you want with your dates and stay in the first destination for a few nights.
Next, find your flights onward to your chosen long-haul destination (Abu Dhabi, Dubai or the Maldives)
You can either choose the same route home or opt for a different destination. For example UK to Athens to Abu Dhabi to Rome then back to the UK.
