✈️ Ryanair launch 'buy one, get one half price' sale on flights

We're seeing if it's *actually* a hot deal 🤔💸

Pirates, Ryanair have just launched their Black Friday offer - buy one, get one half price on selected flights. We've done some digging to see how hot this deal really is.

There are flights from multiple departure airports in the UK to destinations all over Europe. The sale ends tonight at 11:59pm.

The lowest available promo fare we could find was £15.99 one-way from Stansted to Santiago, Spain with the second ticket costing £7.99. This works out at £12 each for a one-way ticket.

The catch with this sale is that the promo fares are few and far between, so grabbing a return ticket in the promo is a bit harder.

Read on for our comparison

Details

Below is a screenshot of the departure and return fares available for Stansted to Santiago, promo fares are highlighted.

We've chosen 29 Jan - 10 February as our example for a 10-night trip. With the promo applied, the return costs £55 per person.

We checked these exact dates on price comparison websites and Ryanair is the cheapest option. So the deal does stack up.

However, we did find other return dates for cheaper. Taking advantage of the cheap Ryanair departure flight with the promo and pairing it with a different flight home seems to be the winner.

Example date: 29 Jan - 3 Feb

From £18 return

Example date: 29 Jan - 11 Feb

From £25 return

So, what's our hot take on this sale?

There are definitely some great one-way fares to nab, so it's worth checking out what's available from your departure airport. The promo fares aren't necessarily the cheapest option, and other dates without the promo can work out cheaper. Make sure to do some digging on Kayak to check if you grab the same dates for cheaper or use the Ryanair sale for a one-way bargain and take another option home.

Additional Information

We might be Pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. Here’s the catch: with deals this hot, things change quickly: flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. Mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. But, if you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry: we’re working on more great offers.
