Pirates, low-cost airline, Wizz, has launched a new route direct to the Maldives from Abu Dhabi where you can grab a ticket from £53 one-way.
We have never seen rates this cheap to the Maldives with alternative direct flights from Abu Dhabi or Dubai costing over £700 one-way.
Of course, this isn't exactly handy for us in the UK, but it's a great option to know about if you wanted to plan a DIY trip with both Dubai/Abu Dhabi and the Maldives. Wizz Air even operates a low cost route from London to Dubai (with a stopover).
