History wise, the construction of Château Rhianfa during 1849-1851 was inspired by sketches of the châteaus of the Loire Valley. Sir John Hay-Williams set about building this masterpiece to please his wife and daughters - which probably meant he was never in the dog house again as long as he lived.

The property is in an incredible location to explore Anglesey and North Wales, with Snowdonia National Park is just 15 minutes’ drive away.
