Normal room rates start from £79 | Suite dates are highly-sought after, book far in advance from £360 per night
From £79 per night
Ever thought you'd sleep in a commercial jet without leaving the tarmac? Check out the Corendon Amsterdam New-West, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel (yep, it’s part of the Marriott group, so get ready to spend those Bonvoy points!). It's hands-down one of the quirkiest places to crash in Amsterdam, mainly because there's a literal Boeing 737 parked slap-bang in the middle of one of the rooms.
Standard rooms kick off from a very reasonable £79 a night. If you want to bag the famous 737 Suite, you'll need to be quick and book well in advance as it's super popular – we've popped an example booking below from around £360 a night.
Location-wise, you aren't in the middle of the historic centre, but you're super close to Schiphol Airport, and the nearby public transport will have you exploring the canals in 20-30 minutes. Bonus tip for the aviation geeks out there: their sister hotel nearby has an entire retired Boeing 747 jumbo jet chilling in the garden!
Example date: 1-2 March 2026
You might have to do some digging to find availability for the suite. Not all hotel booking providers will allow you to book it. In our example, we've gone via Expedia and scrolled right down in the hotel rooms.
So, why the plane? Corendon isn’t just a hotel group; they're a massive travel company with their own airline, and they wanted a show-stopping way to celebrate their aviation roots.
Back in 2015, they used a massive crane to lower the front half of a retired KLM Boeing 737-800 into the building's framework, then constructed the rest of the top floor right around it! What started as a flight simulator space has recently been totally transformed into a luxury 1,200-square-foot suite.
The plane slices right through the room, complete with original passenger seats, overhead bins, and galley carts. The absolute highlight? The fully intact cockpit. You can sit in the captain's chair and play with the levers, while looking out the window, the nose actually pokes three feet out of the building's exterior, giving you an epic "in-flight" view over Amsterdam!
❗️You're booking via VIO. Think of VIO as a price comparison aggregator.
👉 How it works: It searches the inventory of major suppliers (like Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda, etc) to find the cheapest room rate for a specific hotel.
💸 It often finds prices significantly cheaper than booking directly with the hotel (it's always worth comparing, though!).
💎 They have a loyalty scheme called "Gems." It’s similar to Tesco Clubcard points but strictly for travel discounts. Just sign up with your email address (no membership fees).
We might be pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. However, with deals this hot, things change quickly—flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. And just so you know, local taxes might still apply – even treasure has its fine print. But mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. If you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry, we’re working on more great offers.
