🗺️ Area & highlights on Santorini
Late summer is widely considered the sweet spot for Santorini. While midsummer temperatures regularly push past 35°C, September and October bring a much more comfortable 24–27°C, with sea temperatures around 23°C. There's another big bonus: the large cruise ships call in less frequently, which means the charming lanes of Fira and Oia are far easier to enjoy at your own pace. The traditional tavernas quieten down, and evenings by your own heated pool are blissfully crowd-free.
🏡 The villas
All three cave villas strike the right balance between privacy and easy access to the island's highlights. Aleria Luxury Cave sits in the idyllic wine village of Mesa Gonia, just 5 minutes by car from the famous dark volcanic sands of Kamari Black Beach and 10 minutes from the island capital Fira. The Black and White Villa is on the east coast near the laid-back Pori Beach, with quick access to the dramatic Caldera. Villa Metis is nestled in the local wine region with panoramic views over the Aegean Sea and a short drive to the world-famous viewpoint of Oia.
