Great hotel with breakfast close to Lake Sorapis in the Dolomites 🙌
From £80
Have you ever heard of Lake Sorapis? Probably not. But here is why it should definitely be on your bucket list.
Lake Sorapis, located in the Dolomites in Italy, shines from afar with its unique turquoise water colour when the sky is clear. Similar in colour to the shimmering blue waters off the Islands of Greece or like the gorgeous blue lakes in Banff, Canada. At Lake Sorapis, calcareous springs in the lake are responsible for the glow, and it's much closer than Canada!
We spotted a nice hotel nearby, the B&B Hotel Passo Tre Croci Cortina from £80 per night including breakfast.

3⭐️ B&B Hotel Passo Tre Croci Cortina (Rated 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor)
Price from £80 per night with breakfast included when you book through Priceline.
The best option for getting here is to fly into Venice and drive which takes around 2 and a half hours. You could combine this with a stay in Venice and some other lakes in the Dolomites.
Since the hotel is located almost directly at the start of the hiking trail to Lake Sorapis, you can start right at the hotel. From there you walk to the Vandelli hut and from there follow trail no. 215 to the lake. The path is a bit rocky in places, rarely exposed, but equipped with tethers. You should plan at least 4 hours for the hike.
