Pirates, we do love a unique stay! This one takes you to New Zealand.

This cool eco hotel is a 45-minute' drive from Christchurch and it's called SiloStay. Why that name? We'll because you're going to stay in a silo!

That might not sound like a bucket-list thing to do. But wait until you've heard all about it.

Details

The quirky hotel sits a few hundred meters away from the Christchurch – Little River Rail Trail. You'll be surrounded by picturesque farmland with views into the green.

You're staying in former grain silos. Rooms naturally have a circular shape.

Each of the silos has two storeys. Upstairs features a bedroom with a balcony and comes fitted with a glazed ceiling. Downstairs guests have a fully fitted kitchen.

The hotel is designed in an eco-friendly way. Sheep’s wool has been used for insulation, there are eco-boilers and water-saving wash amenities.

Pricing

Prices to stay here start from £136 per night. We can see Trivago Book & Go are beating Expedia at the moment and rates are stable throughout the year. Usually, weekend dates are more expensive, but that's not the case here.
