Meet the 139 year old elephant named Lucy 🐘
Elephants are extremely intelligent animals. No wonder they have served as inspiration for so many years. Not only in songs, but also as an overnight stay.
We present to you, Lucy, a 139-year-old wooden elephant that doubles as accommodation and is one of the oldest roadside attraction in America.
One lucky couple will be able to enjoy a romantic night's stay this Valentine's Day, complete with dinner, bubbly, breakfast and a few souvenirs to take home. Read on to learn more!
The Elephant, also known as Lucy, is located in Margate City, New Jersey, USA and can accommodate up to 2 people. It is simply stunning both outside and inside!
Lucy is a National Historic Landmark and the oldest roadside attraction in America. It's even older than the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower, but who cares about age! As they say - the older the elephant, the better.
To enter this lovely accommodation, you have to climb 25 steps. There you will feel as if you went back in time to the 19th century!
The first guests visited the elephant for an overnight stay in 1902. An American president even stayed here once!
If you're also interested in staying here, you'll have a chance to book for a romantic Valentine's Day stay, with proceeds benefitting the Save Lucy Committee and ongoing preservation of Lucy.
Reservations will open on February 1, 2021 at 17:00 GMT.
