Stay in Bournemouth in winter & you could save a lot

We found rates two thirds cheaper than in summer

From £50 per night

The Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth has a sale on – rates from now until the end of February are £50* per night Sunday-Friday and £75* on Saturday nights.

They charge more than three times that in August. Bournemouth is a summer destination, so you expect lower prices in winter. But paying less than a third of the peak rates is ridiculous.

And while sunshine is certainly not a given, it's not like Bournemouth dies in winter. The university keeps the town alive year-round. There are plenty of bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs to keep you occupied.

The 4-star Art Deco Cumberland Hotel is five minutes from the seafront and within 15 of the city centre. You can drive to Sandbanks (20 minutes) and take a short ferry to the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve. And the edge of the New Forest National park is about 25 minutes away.

Details

  • When we checked, all Sundays and weekdays until 28 February were £50* per night. Saturdays were £25* more

  • The hotel charges £164* per night on most weekdays in August

  • The price does not include breakfast

  • The Cumberland Hotel is rated 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor

  • These rates are available via Trivago

Additional Information

*We might be Pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. Here’s the catch: with deals this hot, things change quickly: flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. Mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. But, if you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry: we’re working on more great offers.
