The hotel we found is located in Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, which has a rich Roman history. You'll stay at The Fleece at Cirencester, right in the heart of the town centre in a 300-year-old, Grade II listed building.
Step outside your hotel, and you are in the centre of town with bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The Corinium Museum has one of the biggest Roman collections in the country (there is also the remains of a Roman Amphitheatre nearby) and if you fancy a trip to the famous Cotswolds villages it's only around a 25-minute drive to Bourton-on-the-Water.
