Infinity pool, curling rink, cocktail bar in a plane & twister room🟡🔵🟢🔴🍹
Mateys, if you haven't seen the TWA Hotel at JFK you really need to take it look, it is so awesome that we don't know where to start.🤩
The hotel is set in the former TWA flight centre and offers amazing retro rooms and some great amenities. You can stay for the night, stay longer, or even book a room for the day.
We would say this swimming pool is like something out of a movie, but we don't think we have even seen anything like it on screen. The rooftop infinity pool is open all year round, is heated in winter, and has views overlooking the runway.💦

Après swim is the pool bar, is decorated like a ski chalet, and serves drinks and food too, watch planes take off while enjoying a drink by the fireplace.🎿
We haven't seen many hotels that have their own curling rink, in fact, we don't think we have seen any. The curling rink at the TWA Hotel is open on weekend days between 2 and 5pm and is free to play.🥌
Connie Cocktail Lounge is for sure a cocktail bar with a difference, the ex bush plane is fully restored and includes an original navigation system, a rope (used for escaping danger) and there is a feed to air traffic control in the cockpit.
Connie serves cocktails (including one called 'vodka is my co-pilot' - lol) and light snacks, and is open daily from 4pm.🍹

The Sunken Lounge is once where people gathered to watch The Beatles arrive at JFK, it now offers 1960s cocktails such as 'vodka is my co-pilot' and 'jet fuel', as well as spirits, beer and wine with views of Connie Cocktail Lounge. The swizzle sticks you get in your cocktails are all travel related too.🌎

It's not often we need to go into detail about a hotel gym, but TWA Hotel has the biggest hotel gym in the world at 10,000-square-foot. The fitness centre has all the usual suspects when it comes to gym equipment as well as 14 Peloton bikes, a yoga studio, personal training and more. It is free to use if are staying at the hotel, or you can get a day pass or membership.🏋️♂️
Yes, of course there is a museum in the hotel, originally New York's first museum, you will find authentic artefacts, interactive displays, in-flight amenities, personal narratives including a 5-year log from a flight attendant. You will see 37 full TWA uniforms from 1945 to 2001, original TWA travel posters, an authentic recreation of a 1962 living room, and an original life-size Barbie Dream house.🧑✈️

Now the hotel is really taking the biscuit for unusual amenities, and we are here for it. There is an interactive sixties-inspired living room where you can dress up and snap a cringe photo with you and the family or mates wearing matching outfits - LOL! You will also find a tiki-chic minibar, shag rug where you can enjoy a blue soda.📸
Toast to Tab happens at 7pm every night, you may or not remember the drink Tab, it was a low calories drink born in the 60s and discontinued in 2020. Each evening, you can experience a tribute to the drink flips on a departures board, there is a museum-quality oil painting of the famed fizz and pose with a four-foot replica in the exhibition.🫗
Phew, now we come to the twister room, yes you guessed it, an entire room dedicated to the game. The Twister room is decorated in coloured circles all over, the floor, walls and even the ceiling, the board you spin to play is on the wall, and it is free to play.🟡🔴🟢🔵
There is also the Paris Café, a coffee bar, and a food hall with loads of choices such as hot dogs, crêpes, bagels, panini, pizza and even Mister Softee ice cream.🍦
All this and we haven't even spoken about the hotel rooms themselves. They come with soundproofed floor-to-ceiling windows, flat-screen TVs, plus mini-fridges, and fully stocked cocktail bars and some of the rooms have airport views.

We have seen rates ranging from $247 through to $351 depending on when you stay, which is approximately between £200 and £300 per night.💸

*We might be Pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. Here’s the catch: with deals this hot, things change quickly: flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. Mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. But, if you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry: we’re working on more great offers.
