Located in the Douro Valley in Portugal, is the 4* Quinta da Pacheca Wine House Hotel. This beautiful and unique hotel invites its guests to spend the night in a wine barrel after a day of wine tasting.

Each barrel measures about 25 square meters and is located among grape vines, in a peaceful and relaxing setting in the middle of nature.

Each barrel is made from wood and comes complete with a private bathroom, terrace, internet access and air conditioning.

Quinta da Pacheca has been producing wine since 1738. We highly recommend pairing your overnight stay with a wine tasting. Along with wine tastings, guided tours, picnics and cooking classes are also available for booking.

The hotel and winery grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. Spend your day lounging by the pool before enjoying a gourmet meal at the onsite restaurant as you drink in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape with your wine.

A standard room at the hotel starts from £161, however if you want to book one of the barrel rooms then expect to pay £265 per night.
