From tomorrow (Friday), you'll no longer need a 'compelling reason' to visit
The French government has announced that from tomorrow (Friday 14 January 2022), vaccinated travellers from the UK will no longer need a compelling reason to enter France or self-isolate when on arrival.
However, a negative Covid-19 test taken within the 24 hours before leaving will be required, vaccinated or not. Previously, a negative PCR or antigen test was required but it hasn't yet been confirmed which will be needed.
Unvaccinated travellers will still require a compelling reason to enter the country and must isolate for 10 days upon arrival.
