The new rules come into place from 04:00 on Friday 7 January
In breaking news, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that pre-departure tests for travellers to England are to be scrapped from 0400am this Friday 7th January.
The requirement to self-isolate on arrival until receipt of a negative PCR test will also be lifted.
Instead, a negative lateral flow test will be acceptable (with a confirmation PCR test if positive).
