Kaliwa Lodge, Moshi, Tanzania

First on the list is Pirate recommended Kaliwa Lodge. Split into different 'Berghaus' style lodges, you can also wander down to the jetty and enjoy uninterrupted views of Mt. Kilimanjaro - when she's not hiding behind the clouds that is! The lodge is family owned and the friendliness of the staff is clear as soon as you arrive.

The cheapest times to head out to Tanzania are May/ June time. The end of the wet season but before the majority of the tourists flock to the area sees prices for this amazing accommodation as little as £150 per night.

Hotel Mystays Fuji Onsen Resort, Kawaguchiko, Japan

From Tokyo, its a hop of one of Japan's famous trains to the foot of Mt Fuji and Kawaguchiko. Check into the Hotel Mystays Fuji Onsen Resort before heading out and exploring the local area that is so iconic to Japan. The hotel has a wonderful indoor swimming pool with uninterrupted views of Mt Fuji! There are also room options that have mountain views too. If you're thinking about a post lockdown tour of Japan, this HAS to be on your list. A hotel with views like this you may expect to pay a pretty penny for. However, you're looking at around £50 for a standard room or £60 for a room with a view... and that's in cherry blossom season too!

With its eye catching design towering above the city, there's no wonder that the 5* Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of the most famous in the world. Feel on top off the world whilst taking a dip in the world's largest roof top pool before heading downstairs to enjoy one of the 20 dining options available to you, including eateries by celebrity names attached to them like Gordon Ramsey. As a guest you'll benefit from exclusive use of the rooftop infinity pool giving you unparalleled views over Singapore. Unfortunatly, Singapore is not the cheapest place to stay and the same can be said about this hotel with prices around the £300 per night mark. But, if you're celebrating something special... a night or two here is worth it for the pool use alone!

This is another Pirate reccommended hotel mateys! With some of the most incredible views of Lion's Rock, you are truly somewhere special when staying at the Hotel Sigiriya. The spacious outdoor pool area is surrounded by lush greenery and the hotel itself is immersed in local nature. There is an on site spa as well for your enjoyment. Fancy getting off the hotel grounds? The staff here will help you in booking a wide range of tours and days out. Nightly stays here are pretty consistent, at around £80 per night.

Casting a pretty spectacular silhouette, matched only by the surrounding landscape, the most noticeable feature of this luxurious accommodation has got to be it's 82 foot long 'sky pool'. Perched 20m in the air this infinity pool almost allows you to feel like you're flying in the mountains. There is even a glass bottom section where - if you dare - so can see straight through to the floor! The hotel is located in the Italian Alps, close to the Austrian boarder, making it an ideal holiday location throughout the year. In winter the hills are transformed with a blanket of snow, making it a great location for skiers. Minimum stays are 3 nights costing around £800 in total. Unfortunately, the hotel is currently not taking bookings.

The Outpost Lodge, Makuleke Contract Park, South Africa

With panoramic views over the Kruger National Park, The Outpost Lodge makes the most of the African plains. Chill out after a days safari in the infinity pool whilst gazing out at the wildlife that surrounds the hotel! The cheapest time to visit South Africa is during their winter. June prices here start around £400 per night but this includes your meals too.

This hotel is an absolute steal at only £70 and that's with the all inclusive!

Named the tallest building in Western Europe, the Shangri-la hotel at The Shard offers incredible views over the London skyline. Less than 10 years old, the buildin has already made a name for itself and is an iconic addition to the London cityscape. Rooms here don't come cheap, between £300 and £400 a night. The hotel is currently closed due to lockdown.
