White Desert is certainly one of the most remote and unique glamping experiences in the world!

Here you will be whisked away by Gulfstream private jet from Cape Town direction south, passing thousands of icebergs, and arriving in the last remaining great wilderness on earth: Antarctica.

Details

The Whichaway Camp has won the World Travel Awards no less than five times, offering all the luxury mod-cons and services you'd expect from a 5-star hotel, but with a minimal environmental footprint in mind.

The camp has seven spacious, state-of-the-art sleeping pods that are fully heated, and equipped with a writing desk, wash area and toilet.

The rest of the camp comprises a shower pod, kitchen and three centralized pods that make up the reception, lounge and dining room. While the exterior is made from cutting edge materials, the interior has an old-world feel with rich textures.

Naturally, there is an award-winning chef on site to take care of your dietary needs, and you will be staying on all inclusive basis.

With only 12 guests on each departure, you choose what kind of experience you are after โ€“ as relaxed, or as adrenaline-fuelled as you wish.

Get up close and personal with the majestic Emperor Penguins, head to the South Pole, the southernmost point on earth, explore the otherworldly ice tunnels, enjoy exhilarating 6x6 rides, go climbing, zip-lining or learn more about the scientific work underway in Antarctica.

Finish the day off with a picnic atop a rugged peak with breathtaking views, sipping on a cocktail cooled with 1000-year-old ice!

Needless to say, you need to dig into your pockets for this once in a lifetime experience. Prices start from $14,500 (which is around ยฃ12,700) for a 24-hour adventure. (Yes, you can visit Antarctica for 24-hours.)
