❌ NO PLANE NEEDED ❌ for your family holiday 👏
Want to plan a family getaway without having to take a plane? We’ve spotted two great offers from ferry companies letting you take the kids for free. 👇
Stena Line is offering free child places for people travelling with a car on several key routes, provided you book by July 1, 2026:
Liverpool (North West England) or Cairnryan (Southwest Scotland) to Belfast.
Holyhead (North Wales) to Dublin.
Fishguard (South Wales) to Rosslare.
Kids aged 0 - 15 years go FREE on motorist Economy or Flexi fare
Travel any time from 1 May 2026 up to 5 January 2027
The discount is automatically applied as you go through the booking process. We’ve linked you to Direct Ferries, which is a handy comparison tool for seeing all your options in one place.
Just keep in mind that they do charge a small booking fee, so you might bag a better price by booking directly with the ferry operator instead. It’s definitely worth shopping around; when we cross-checked the prices ourselves, we spotted savings of around £50 per child.
Alternatively, P&O Ferries is running a similar promotion specifically for motorists sailing from Cairnryan (Southwest Scotland) to Larne, just north of Belfast. You will need to move fast for this one, as the booking deadline is May 22, 2026.
