It’s happening! We’re booking holidays today after the change in the UK travel rules

The Government just announced that from 19 July, UK travelers who have had both vaccines can visit a load of destinations that have been difficult to access (the amber list), without the 10-day quarantine when you fly back home.

We know from conversations with Pirates on Facebook, that some people won’t like this news - either you’re still waiting for a jab, or you’re not convinced you should have one, but we’re relieved it’s a step in the right direction towards being able to see the world again.

Holidaymakers will still have to do the testing as before but in effect, amber-list countries are now the same as green-list countries for those who are double jabbed.

Unvaccinated children under 18 will not have to quarantine either when returning from an amber-list country.
