What is this adventure?

Volcano boarding was founded by the Australian adrenaline junkie, Daryn Webb, back in 2004. This extreme sport went through plenty of trial and error stages to find the most optimal piece of boarding equipment including picnic tables, mattresses, to finally a sit-down toboggan made of metal and plywood. Now, thanks to Webb, over 20,000 adventure-seekers alike have boarded down the Cerro Negro slope (at speeds up to 101km/hr!). León is the only place in the world where you could slide down an active volcano.

What's included in this trip?

Guests at the Bigfoot Hostel — which Daryn opened in 2005— as well as outside individuals can book a volcano boarding excursion, which includes access to daily transportation up the Cerro Negro slope, a bilingual guide, safety equipment, cold beer/snacks, and a free tank top.

How much does it cost?

This excursion alone costs £18. Participants must also bring £4 for the National Park entrance fee. For more information on booking your excursion click HERE.
