Jet2 is the first to adopt the no-mask policy on its flights
Jet2 is the first major airline that has chosen to drop the requirement for wearing face masks on its planes.
As reported by the Times, "The budget airline quietly relaxed its rules" on 1 March 2022 and told passengers flying to and from England and Northern Ireland that wearing a mask was no longer mandatory.
Many other airlines have remained firm in their stance, particularly those carriers serving international destinations that have strict rules.
Passengers flying with Jet2 will still need to wear a mask when disembarking abroad at international airports.
