New Zealand announces an official opening date for tourism
Ahoy Pirates,
New Zealand's Corona Control Minister Hipkins announced the opening steps for New Zealand's borders in a press conference today:
From 16 January 2022: vaccinated New Zealanders and permanent residents who are in Australia will be allowed to enter.
From 13 February 2022: vaccinated New Zealanders and permanent residents who are in other countries will be allowed to enter.
From 30 April 2022: fully vaccinated travellers may enter, but must take a Corona test on entry and isolate themselves for 7 days after arrival (BILD writes that quarantine would be waived, but all international news agencies deny this)
