Negative tests will no longer be required for fully-jabbed Brits
Mateys, great news for those who are planning a holiday to Portugal in the near future. You'll no longer have to provide a negative test upon arrival in Portugal if you are fully-jabbed. Read on to learn more!
To be considered fully-jabbed, you must have had your second or booster jab no less than nine months prior to travel. You'll be able to prove this with any recognised proof of vaccination, such as your NHS Covid app or a valid digital European Union certificate. Visitors will still need to complete an online passenger locator card.
We don't have an exact date yet on when this change is set to take place, but it's been reported from the Portuguese Government that the changes are expected to take place before the UK schools' half-term break. We will keep you updated when we know more.
Unfortunately, late-minute flights to Lisbon during half-term are currently quite expensive. For those who don't want to shell out a few hundred quid, we recommend either looking for flights to Porto, which also makes for an amazing break, or setting your sights on a holiday that is in March, April or May.
