Stay overnight at Gaudí's Casa Vicens in Barcelona for under £1!

What would Barcelona be without Gaudi? The buildings of this internationally renowned architect are some of the most visited attractions in Barcelona. Now, thanks to Airbnb Casa Vicens, Gaudí’s first house where the artist himself lived, will be made available to guests for the night for the first time in 136 years.

Casa Vicens was built by Antoni Gaudí between 1883 and 1885, before he became one of the most respected artists of all time. Designed as a summer residence, the UNESCO-listed house remained private property for 130 years but has recently reopened to the public as a museum.

Now thanks to Airbnb, one lucky person will be able to book a stay for the first time. Sadly there is only one date available to book and it is a first come, first served basis.

Attractions of staying at Casa Vicens are:

• A special welcome tour with the host of the house, Emili, who is part of the team that transformed this historic house into a museum.

• Unprecedented access to the 19th century single-family holiday home designed by the famous Antoni Gaudí.

• Possibility to taste a menu awarded with Michelin stars and inspired by Gaudi in a unique space, and then invite for a delicious drink in the "smoking room".

• A full Mediterranean breakfast in the town's lush private garden (including the best croissants in town!).

Reservations can be made at 15:00 on 12 July 2021 for one night in autumn 2021.

The stay is for one night only and is not a competition. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. The stay will be available to guests who meet the requirements. The stay costs € 1 (plus taxes and fees).

Why is Casa Vicens so special?

The exterior of the house is a unique blend of colors and influences set in a lush garden. Its interior is even more unusual: a fabulous multi-colored oasis that combines Moorish, neoclassical and organic motifs.

On the ground floor there is a dining room with original wooden furniture designed by Gaudi himself. There is also a "smoking room", a place to relax and have a drink. The room is truly magical; the plaster on the ceiling imitates palm trees and the walls are decorated with intricate tiles.

A more private and intimate space is located on the first floor, in the master bedroom. Guests who manage to book an overnight stay will have the opportunity to spend the night in this stunning jewel decorated by Gaudi.
