Plenty of countries have said they will welcome back Brits who haven't had the Covid vaccine.

However, there are still some requirements for entry.

Scroll down for more details.

Details

We've taken a look at some of the destinations you might be able visit without a Covid jab this summer and what the rules will be on entry.

Turkey

Turkey's tourism minister said that Brits will be welcome back when the UK lifts its restrictions, with no need to be vaccinated against Covid.

As things stand, you only need to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of travelling there.

Croatia

If you've not been jabbed (both doses), like Turkey, you'll need to show either a negative PCR test or an antigen test result or prove you have recovered from Covid in the last 180 days.

Plus you need to fill in a form showing you have accommodation booked.

Greece

Greece is open to travellers now who aren't vaccinated against Covid although you'll need to show proof of a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours before travel.

However, it's not possible to head there until 17 May when restrictions may ease.

Portugal

Portugal is hoping to reopen for the summer, but hasn't yet officially confirmed exactly what restrictions may be in place.

Tourism minister Rita Marques said recently in an online conference that Portugal would try “at all costs to avoid quarantines and additional Covid-19 tests” for international arrivals.

However, it's likely that holidaymakers will face similar entry requirements to other countries ie a negative PCR test or proof of vaccination.

The Maldives

The Maldives is already open to holidaymakers with proof of a negative PCR test result taken within 96 hours of travel. (This is being lifted for vaccinated visitors).

There are plans for the islands to offer Covid vaccines to tourists on arrival once all of the local population has been jabbed.

Mexico

Mexico is already open to tourists, including Brits (once restrictions reduce hopefully on 17 May.

Currently there is no requirement to provide a negative test result or proof of vaccination.

Barbados

Barbados will be open to those who haven't had the jab but there are entry requirements in place.

You;ll need to show a negative Covid-19 PCR test result taken 72 hours before travel, use special transport on arrival to approved accommodation and then stay in your room until a second negative PCR test result (taken on day 5 of quarantine).
