This jaw dropping location can sleep up to 8 - as well as two dogs, so is a fantastic idea for the next family reunion, or maybe getting all of your mates together for a staycation that none of you will forget in a hurry.

A unique castle such as this does come with a price tag, but instantly becomes much more affordable once split between guests.

Dating back to the 14th-century, this stunning property has been lovingly restored to combine the old with the new, keeping a number of original features and intertwined with modern, kooky decor.

Great for either a mini break or a week long escape, this castle caters for all, as well as four legged friends!

The kids will love playing hide and seek amongst the grounds, playing around the original features and realising their Disney dreams can come true!

For the adults there are wide open living and dining areas, views over the sea from the turrets and a hot tub and sauna!

The castle is situated on the Ayrshire coast and is a short walk to the shoreline, the local area offers a wealth of hiking, cycling and walking trails and there are a number of local towns and villages with pubs and restaurants if you're not keen on doing the dishes one night!

Understandably, this property has got the press buzzing with excitement, meaning that dates book up fast, so make sure you get yours booked asap.

4-night stays start at around £1985, but when split between 8, it makes it more affordable.
