From 4am on 30th August
News about the travel traffic light system has been updated and will be in effect at 4am on the 30th August.
Read on to discover which new countries made the green list, which countries will be moved to the red list and what it means for your future travels.
New additions to the green list
Let's first start with some good news:
The Azores, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania and Switzerland will move from amber to the green list.
New additions to the red list
Countries moving to the red list from the amber list include Thailand and Montenegro which will mean expensive hotel quarantine on return.
