Not only is going in May a big chunk cheaper than peak summer (more than £500 in July and August), but the weather is decent but not too hot and the island is pleasant but not crazy busy.
In reality, a lot of the clubs won't be open in early May, but if raving isn't really your thing anyway, then it's not a big deal. And if it is, we'd say go later in the season.
